There’s a crispness to the air but things are heating up at the Esk Jockey Club in preparation for our Winter Race Meet on Saturday July 1st.

The raceday event will feature three mini trot races as well as the gallops.  There will be a Calcutta  to sell off the mini trotters and prizes for the winning bidders.

Also on the  day the Dan O’Brien Memorial Race will recognize the past president of the EJC who has his birthday on the 8th of July and would have turned 110.  He served the club for many years and has passed the mantle of caretaking on to his daughter and son-in-law Carmel and Graham Lynch.
